Featured Bride Heather's vintage wedding

Heather and Darryl got married at Woodlands Historic Homestead in Gordonton.

Heather chose the Maggie Sottero Anniston for her gown and looked amazing, Heather’s experience is one that we find happens frequently. Heather visited our Wellington store with an image of the gown that she wanted but quickly discovered they did not suit her. The Anniston caught Heather’s eye and she decided to try it on. Heather said “As soon as my lovely consultant Kirsty started lacing me in she said, this is definitely the one! Once my bridesmaids saw me, there were (happy) tears and gasps and I think we all knew from that moment we found it. Now I can’t imagine ever having picked anything else.”

“Kirsty, my consultant, is just so lovely, and professional. I felt so at ease knowing she had everything under control. It was like going to catch up with a good friend every time I went in for an appointment.”

Heather’s advice for future brides:

Be open minded, prepared for change of plans, basically try and take a ‘go with the flow’ approach and let people help when they offer, you can’t do everything on your own!

Also, if you’re going to spend big bucks on one thing, make it the photographer, all the beautiful details you put into your wedding are pointless if your photographer doesn’t do a good job to capturing it all, after all it’s the photos you will look at for the rest of your life. Memories will fade without the photos!

Heather’s wedding in one word:

There really isn’t one word I can settle on as there are so many amazing feelings that come to mind when I think about it. I am still buzzing over the day! Let’s go with, Dreamy.
