Featured Bride Katie's magical pink wedding

I feel really privileged to share Katie and Che’s special day with our readers in Issue 4 of our online magazine Borrowed and Blue. Katie’s wedding looked amazing and I know you will be inspired by their theme and ideas.

Katie and Che tied the knot on the 31st January at The Gardens of The World with the reception following at The Playhouse in a wedding that Katie described as romantic.

This fabulous couple wanted guests get to soak up and enjoy all that the amazing location had to offer, have fun, relax and create some wonderful memories together as they celebrated their love for each other. What a lovely sentiment and it is clear that everyone had a great time and that this couple is meant to be. Chrissy and Daron from Nelson Wedding Photography captured the look and feel of this wedding perfectly!

We asked Katie what advice she would give to future brides:

“Let your dreams and vision flow - No one knows your vision better than yourself so trust your own style and taste. This is your special day with your husband so make sure to enjoy it and soak up every moment. This will be one of the BEST days of your life, I promise.”

Katie chose the Maggie Sottero Victoriana and shared her experience of Kirsty and the team at Wellington. Kirsty loved helping Katie find the perfect gown, Katie was such a lovely bride!

“Kirsty and the ladies from the Wellington store were absolutely incredible. They made my experience so enjoyable. When I arrived at the store I had a dress I had seen in a magazine and loved but wasn’t sure if the style would suit me. They worked with me and I tried a variety of different styles to see what I did and didn’t like. After many styles that just weren’t “me”, I started to feel like I was never going to find the perfect dress – Kirsty reassured me that she would find me the perfect dress and I would be wowed.

After trying about 40 dresses I knew I had found the one. It complemented my figure and also showed my style beautifully. Not once did Kirsty give in; she was determined to find that perfect dress that showed my style and personality and that suited my figure. The moment I put the gown on and walked out to mum to show her and I think we all could tell I had found the dress for me.”
