Are you a pear shaped bride?

The pear is all about the hips and thighs. You may be petite up the top but then spread out on the hip to create the look of a pear.  You may have lovely shapely arms and a great décolletage.  Never fear as this is one of the easiest shapes to work with for bridal.  Corseted tops show off your bust and waist and then depending on hip size, a-lines or full skirts just take those hips and thighs right away.  It doesn't matter what size you are - pears can come in large or small.  But these gowns should give you a head start on what will suit you.  Remember that nothing can substitute for trying gowns on.

What to look for:

You want to show off you delicate upper body.  Make the most of your tiny bust, waist and toned arms.  Getting the bottom half of the gown right is going to be the focus.  Depending on how “pear” you are, you can look at A-lines from small to large and ball gowns.

Every bride has things she likes and doesn’t like about her body. It’s important to find a dress that fits your personality and preferences, but don’t let your inner critic take over in the process. We’re willing to bet your loved ones, most importantly your fiance, have a much more forgiving perception of your gorgeous features than you do.
