Featured Bride Nicole's rustic meets vintage wedding

Nicole married Adam on the 28th March 2014 Nicole and Adam chose a blend of vintage and rustic themes for their wedding in Tauranga. I love the finishing touches that Nicole used to create this simply gorgeous look. Centerpieces were cream birdcages with floral arrangements in them and there were hessian and lace wrapped jars filled with flowers dotted around the place. Table numbers were beautiful numbered china plates. The accessories were simple and effective and a great example of displaying restraint when styling your wedding. With so many amazing accessories to choose from it is hard to leave some behind - but essential!

We asked Nicole about her special day...
Magic moment
"There were so many! But one that sticks out for me (and was captured on film) is when Adam tried to go in for the kiss about 5 minutes too early and I had to stop him! Was adorable as he was obviously nervous and thought the time was coming. Made for a couple of good photos and a few laughs!"

All about the gown
"I chose the Sottero and Midgely Justina. I had fallen in love with the picture! I had booked quite a few gowns to try on as I was flying up from the South Island so been doing some research. It was the first one I tried on and we all sort of knew it was the one straight away but I tried all the other gowns on anyway. My Sisters, Stepmum, Aunty and consultant were all unanimous! Dee from Astra Hamilton was an absolute angel and so accommodating. I absolutely love her to bits!"

Nic's Advice"Don't stress! There will always be little things that don't go to plan on the day – if you embrace them they can end up being some of the moments you remember most fondly. Spend a bit extra to get a professional video made of the day from start to finish"
