Sanacha's chic city wedding

Sanacha and Luvern got married on the 5 December. The couple chose another one of our absolute favourite venues Orakei Bay in Auckland. We have held our charity event in the past here and love the location and look that this beautiful spot offers. Sanacha said “the venue encompassed everything we were looking for. It has an outdoor ceremony area as well as the huge reception space, and a games room to keep our guests entertained during cocktail hour. The bonus is the spectacular view of the bay. This venue was the clear winner as soon as we visited and met with the staff and had a look around.”  Sanacha and Luvern wanted to keep their wedding classic and timeless and after many colour changes throughout the planning process setteled on silver, nude and whites. Sanacha felt this epitomized a contemporary look with a touch of glamour and glitz.

This is their story…

Favourite moment:

As cliché as it may sound, my favourite moment was walking down the aisle and seeing my husband waiting for me. It’s a feeling I can only describe as magical, everything and everyone else faded away in those moments and it was just him and I.

Advice for future brides:

Do not rush the initial stages of planning your wedding. Have a good look at what’s available to you and slowly build up the details. Do not stress because there will most definitely be things that will not go as you had planned but nobody knows but you.

All about the dress

Why did you choose your dress?

I chose my dress because it gave me curves in all the right places and it was a dress that had everything I wanted in one – mermaid, lace, strapless, flattering neckline and enough tulle to make it look bridal.

I chose Astra Bridal as they are the official stockists of Maggie Sottero and Sottero and Midgely, which I have been following for a while.

Favourite part of the dress:

I love the pewter lace work on the bodice of my dress. It complimented the theme and gave me that timeless yet modern look that I wanted
