Yellow and Blue April wedding

Ruth and Tom chose Wallaceville House as the venue for their wedding in April this year.  With the help of Lisa in Wellington she chose the Nadia gown and paired it with a bolero jacket also from Maggie Sottero.

I loved my gown.  I fell in love with the skirt which was full while still being soft and floaty with the beautiful lace detailing.  The bodice was the most amazing fit and accentuated my curves in all the right places.  The bolero transformed the gown in to exactly what I was looking for, for our late autumn wedding.

My bridesmaids put together my bouquets, buttonholes and table decoration jars the night before the wedding (which was far more relaxing and fun than it sounds).

We wanted our day to be traditional, relaxed, sincere and fun!  Wallaceville house was the perfect venue as it is stunning and it has a great atmosphere. We had a our photographs before the ceremony, so we were very relaxed by the time it came to our vows. It also meant we were having fun with our guests from the ceremony to the dinner - I highly recommend having the photos before.

I toyed with a lot of different coloursbefore settling on Navy blue and yellow. Tom vetoed a few of my earlier colour choices, which in restrospect was a good thing as thought my bridesmaids looked stunning in blue. The yellow gave everything a real colour pop.

Ruth said they genuinely had the best day ever- so much laughter and fun.  And I think we can see it from the pictures of joy and laughter.  Ruth said there were hardly any serious photos of her in the thousands from the day!
