Classically elegant for Featured Bride Claire
Claire and Ryan got married on the 9 January 2016 at the All Hallows Chapel, Southwell School, Hamilton. Claire’s father is the Chaplain at Southwell School so the venue was special to Claire and her family. Claire lived at the school during her childhood and adolescence, which also meant it felt like home.
We asked Claire to tell us about her special day. I simply love Claire’s advice below too.
Favourite wedding day moment
My most memorable moment was looking at my husband and walking out of the chapel hand in hand as a married couple. Although people say that marriage doesn’t feel different, I disagree- I instantly felt more connected to him and more solid in our relationship.
What made your Astra Bridal experience special?
I had the honour of working with Dee from the Hamilton store who was fantastic, to say the least. She allowed me to make my own decisions but supported me along the way with extra attention to detail. This included a last minute shoe change just days before the wedding. I couldn’t speak more highly of Dee - she is very invested in the process and I can tell she views every wedding and bride-to-be as unique. She made me feel beautiful and confident.
Advice for future brides: Remember what the day is really about- marrying someone in the eyes of all those who you hold most important to you and whom you are asking to support your commitment to one another. That way, it doesn’t matter if everything is ‘perfect’.
