Fresh faced and beautiful!
Natural, bold, vintage... what is your style?
I sought the advice from one of the most talented make-up artists I have met - Deidre Read from Road to Beauty. I asked Deidre for her top tips on wedding make-up.
A makeup trial closer to your big day is a must. Your makeup artist can see your skin colouring and tone. It is the perfect time for you to share your thoughts and ideas. I also recommend that brides wear a colour similar to their gown for the trial too!
Lashes are a must. Choose professional ones that sit nicely into the natural contour of the eye shape and don't have horrible rigid thick spines that look dreadful, cheap and nasty.
Consider the climate that you are getting married in - is it dry requiring you to wear more moisturiser or are you suddenly being thrown into a humid climate. Ask you Makeup artist what they would recommend for your build-up to the big day so that your skin will adapt and look amazing.
Keep a lip balm on at all times. Moisturise all areas, concentrating on tops of hands, elbows, knees, and decolletage.
A good makeup artist will tell you what to do the night before and on the day but if not ask. Find out what they want you to bring, when to wash your face and what to put on it.
Drink lots of water leading up to your big day to make sure your skin is hydrated!
I ask Deidre what was the top trend at the moment - On point at the MO - is rose gold and metallics on eyes.
