The Royal Hawaiian Hotel
Candice & Miles married in Hawaii, and wanted a low key, relaxed, intimate and comfortable feeling.
Candice chose the CR914 Gown and says "My favourite part of the gown was the detail in the beading and the fact that it was so light and airy, it was perfect for the hot Hawaiian weather. "
The flowers were done by Florist Grand, and were all roses (Candice's favourite flower), with one red and one yellow facing Candice in rememberance for her Paternal Grandparents (their favourite colours of their favourite flower).
Candice & Miles chose Hawaii as a central location for both families (hers from Canada and his from New Zealand) and it was the first time both had been there. They kept their guestlist small, with only 21 close friends and family attending.
Candice says: "We decided to make it as Hawaiian as we could, and chose the famous “Pink Palace” (The Royal Hawaiian Hotel) as the ceremony venue. We were lucky enough to have the only celebrant in Honolulu to blow the Conch Shell before the ceremony and Miles wore the traditional lei. We had the musician play on the ukulele also for the Hawaiian feel, walking down the aisle to him singing the “The Hawaiian Wedding Song”. "
Keeping a low stress, feel to the wedding & vacation was important. Candice made the invitations and the programs, and the programs were made into fans for people to cool themselves off from the heat. Dulce Photography did the pictures, and the Bride & Bridal party’s hair and make up were done by Leslie Fair. The reception was at a small restaurant called Tiki’s Bar and Grill and it was a buffet dinner.
