#weddingwednesday Te Awa Winery
Erin Bolton is in the New Zealand canoe polo team and it was love across the bow when she met the coach of the Australian Men's team; Matt. Luckily Erin could convince Matt that they needed to get married in her home country of New Zealand.
The chose Hawkes Bay as a region as it is beautiful all year round. The Te Awa winery was a perfect fit for their small wedding, with amazing food and the gorgeous photographic backdrop.
Erin said her favourite part of the day was the first look. "We decided to have photos before the ceremony, as we would have more time and get to go up Te Mata Peak. We could also have a private moment before the ceremony to say G'day"
I love the story that Erin and her twin sister had been winding Matt up for some time that they were going to switch places on the day! She had kept her gown, hair and makeup secret so the reveal was perfect.
Erin's gown wasn't in her original pick from the racks. But they spied in on a mannequin and added it on the way to the fitting rooms. Erin feel in love with the fact the gown can look so many different colours depending on the light.
The feel for the day they wanted was rustic and romantic. "Te Awa has lots of beautiful wood and my gown has a timeless feel - so when we look back in 20+ years I wanted us to still adore everything about the day"
